Vinci sits between the two big ranges

Vinci is the family VOOPOO places between the compact Argus pods and the large Drags. 2 models are available, with batteries from 2000 to 2000 mAh and power up to 220 W. The spread is that wide because two very different kinds of hardware run under one name.

On one side small pods for a tight draw and nicotine salts; on the other the E and Spark models, closer to pod mods: a screen, adjustable wattage, a larger tank.

Airflow control, the distinguishing feature

The characteristic Vinci feature is the airflow ring. It lets you move from an almost closed draw to a distinctly open one without changing coil, and in practice airflow changes the feel more than a couple of watts either way.

For anyone who has not yet decided which draw they prefer, that is the most valuable property in the whole range. A device with a fixed airway asks you to guess in advance; Vinci lets you hunt for a week and stop where it feels right.

A practical rule: the tighter the airflow, the lower the liquid consumption and the longer the coil lasts. Open it up and you gain vapour and flavour and shorten coil life by the same move.

Who the range makes sense for

Vinci is the natural choice when a compact pod is already too small and an adjustable box mod is still too large. If you know you work between 20 and 40 W, there are devices here covering exactly that band without carrying two hundred watts you will never use.

It is not for someone who wants one decision and never to revisit it. Vinci rewards adjusting, and in the hands of someone who will leave the factory values forever it offers nothing a simpler, cheaper pod does not.

Wattage runs from the VOOPOO Vinci S at 40 W to the VOOPOO Vinci Spark 220 at 220 W. For nicotine salts and a tight draw the low end is ample. The higher figures only earn their keep with a low-resistance coil and a thinner liquid; otherwise all you do is burn cotton faster.

The resistance band is the figure most people skip, and it decides which coils are usable at all. On the VOOPOO Vinci S it runs 0.3 to 3.0 Ω. A device that will not go low enough cannot drive a low-resistance coil properly, and one with a low ceiling cannot cope with an MTL coil.

What they do not convey is handling: whether there is a button, whether it fires on the draw, how firmly it holds the cartridge and how fast it charges. In daily use those points often weigh more than two hundred milliamp-hours.

Which model for which use

Anyone coming off cigarettes should be looking at a tight draw and a higher coil resistance, not at peak wattage. Anyone already vaping and after a second device gains most from a model on the same cartridge platform as the first, because then the consumable stock is shared.

If you need to get through a day without a cable, look at the top half of the list. If you want to carry it discreetly in a shirt pocket, look at the bottom half, because battery capacity and bulk are directly linked.

The third question, the one asked least often, is how much you want to adjust. A device with no screen and no wattage control cannot be set wrongly, and for someone quitting smoking that is a feature rather than a gap. An adjustable device only earns its keep if you will genuinely match power to liquid instead of leaving the factory value forever.

Cartridges: where the money goes

Every device in this range that we hold data for uses the PnP X platform. That simplifies repeat buying: stay inside the range and you keep drawing on the stock of cartridges and coils you already have.

The model name says nothing about the platform. Devices on different systems sit next to each other inside one range, and PnP and PnP X are not mechanically interchangeable whatever the name suggests. Order the wrong unit and, once the seal is broken, it cannot be returned on hygiene grounds.

What applies to every device in the range

Charging is over USB-C. The cartridge is held magnetically and pushes in rather than screwing in. Every cartridge that ships with a device holds 2 ml, because we stock the European edition of the range. International listings for the same models sometimes quote other figures; the value on the product page is the one that ships.

Colour choice varies considerably between models. Each model page lists the finishes actually available, each with a photo of the real unit rather than a recoloured stock image. Matte surfaces show finger marks far later than gloss, and for a device carried in a pocket every day that matters more than the colour itself.

Coil life across the range is set by the liquid rather than the device: one to three weeks mouth-to-lung and noticeably less direct-to-lung. Sweet and heavily coloured flavourings clog cotton faster than clean tobacco or menthol.
