MTL, meaning mouth to lung

MTL stands for mouth to lung. The vapour is drawn into the mouth first, held for a moment, and only then inhaled. That is exactly the motion of smoking a cigarette, which is why this build is the most natural for anyone making the switch. The draw is tight, the vapour modest, the device quiet.

Technically MTL means a narrow airway, a higher coil resistance, usually between 0.8 and 1.4 Ω, and low power, mostly between 10 and 18 W. The 4 devices gathered here from the Argus, Doric, Vmate ranges are built to that profile.

Why a tight draw works for switching

Anyone arriving from cigarettes is used to a certain resistance at the filter. A device with a wide-open airway then feels like breathing through a pipe, and most people put it away after two days. A tight draw is not a limitation here, it is the entire point of the design.

Nicotine comes with it. MTL hardware is almost always run on nicotine salts, because salt stays smooth even at high strength. At ten or twenty milligrams across two millilitres, a small vapour volume is more than enough. A high-powered device at the same strength would scratch the throat.

Battery and daily life

Because MTL hardware draws little, the battery lasts longer than the number suggests. The models here sit between 1000 and 2500 mAh and even at the lower end cover a day at moderate use. That is the quiet advantage of this design: small battery, small draw, small device.

Airflow control is worth looking at. Some models have a ring that moves from very tight to medium. If you are not sure how tight you like it, an adjustable model serves you better than a fixed one.

Colour does not change the price

Every finish of one model costs the same, because only the shell differs. Battery, wattage, cartridge platform and box contents are identical across variants, so choosing a colour is a question of taste and of how visible wear will be.

The difference shows elsewhere. Matte and satin surfaces barely take skin oil and stay tidy for weeks; gloss looks better on a shelf and carries visible hand marks within two days. Light tones show edge wear sooner, dark ones hold dust more visibly.

Dispatch and returns

Orders paid on a working day before 15:00 leave the warehouse the same day, others the next working day. Delivery normally takes one to two working days, and the tracking number goes out by email as soon as it ships.

Returns run to fourteen days from delivery and need no reason. Cartridges and coils cannot be taken back once the protective seal is broken, on hygiene grounds; unopened, we take them back without argument.
